Frank M. Snowden Jr. Undergraduate Scholarship

Description: The Society for Classical Studies (SCS) Committee on Diversity offers scholarships for Summer 2025 to undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups in North America. These scholarships support the study of classics or classical archaeology through unique summer opportunities like field schools, language training, or classical programs in the U.S., Canada, or Europe. Public engagement project applicants are encouraged to explore the Ancient World, Modern Communities program.

Qualifications:

• Those eligible are members of historically underrepresented ethnic and racial groups in the United States and Canada, for example, students who are of African descent, Latinx, Asian or Asian American, Pacific Islander, and of indigenous descent (Native American, Inuit, Canadian First Peoples.)

Award Amount: $4,500
